Review - Baoji Remote Control (wireless) Doorbell

I have been asked to do a review on this  Baoji Remote Control (wireless) Doorbell as sold by  DMD Trading Co on Amazon.co.uk

First of all I would like to say that delivery was fast and the packaging was quite adequate, especially since you don't pay any extra for postage. The seller very kindly also supplied the batteries for the main unit which are not supplied with the product normally (battery for the external unit is supplied within the packaging).

It is very easy to install, simply put the batteries in, use the supplied adhesive pad to stick the external unit to a suitable place by your door, and hang the main unit from a picture hanger (or similar) in your home. We've chosen to NOT hang ours inside just now but leave it free standing in the kitchen.

There are a choice of 36 "musics" (chimes or melodies) to choose from, starting with a straightforward "ding dong" which will probably suit most people day-to-day. It's well worth cycling though the rest! They include Happy Birthday, a range of Christmas Songs, and some Nursery Rhymes amongst other things. I can't help thinking my Dad would love this since he is a fan of singing fish and other such things. The kids think it's great too. I can see me changing from the standard chime to some of these melodies on special occasions, but defiantly changing it back to the normal chime soon after!

It's a good loud chime too, ideal for someone who might be hard of hearing. The main unit also light up which is useful for the same reasons. It's unfortunate that there seems to be no volume control though so you wouldn't want it right behind your favourite arm chair in the livingroom, but ideal for hearing across a room or two.

In all I would say that this is good value for the money at £1.99. It's neat and tidy looking, does the job it's advertised for, and what more would you want from a doorbell?

You can buy your own for just £1.99 (free p+p)  from Amazon.co.uk using this link
